Unit 11: Impact Task

Note participants have to complete units 1 – 10 and receive and submit their certificate on the YOMA platform in order to access and complete this impact task unit. This is the final step in the YOMA Agroecology Learning Pathway. The task invites learners to show what they have grown, practiced, and learned, either in a slide show presentation, a poster or a written report. As a trainer, you will guide your group in selecting their submission format, gathering documentation, and preparing a submission that reflects their growth and agroecology journey.

You will also learn how to support the process of submitting the task and ensure your learners are confident and ready to complete their learning journey.

Go to Unit 11: Impact Task and complete this unit. The unit outlines three assignment options and gives a checklist of what should be included in the assignment:

  • Option 1: Make a poster to showcase what has been learnt during the course (handmade or created online using a poster making platform) including images with clear descriptions.
  • Option 2: Create a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 8 slides to show and describe the agroecology learning journey.
  • Option 3: Write a 2 – 3 page reflective report with a more descriptive focus of the learning journey which still includes some form of graphics (such as images, drawings, graphs).

As a trainer:

  • Familiarise yourself with the rubrics and examples.

  • Reflect on the best practice to help your course participants to identify their strongest evidence.

  • Encourage learners to follow the guidelines and to be creative, this is not a task that can be rushed.
  • Emphasise that this task is about personal growth and using AI to create a submission will not help them to learn.
